About

Spent nearly five years as a UI/UX software engineer at one of the largest churches in the nation, Southeast Christian Church, with over 60k weekly attendees. My role includes improving user experiences, user design, app performances, interactivity, and visual stability of all applications. Currently a developer for 9 Embers, helping churches implement church management systems (Rock RMS) while leveraging UI/UX skills for a seamless user experience between their web platforms. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife, playing pinball (which I am internationally ranked), run, and travel the world.

Responsible for ongoing architecture and redesign of critical customer facing websites and mobile apps. During my time, I have taken the lead on many web projects that includes introducing the “Compass Theme” into the Rock Shop (which has served over 120+ church organizations), recreate legacy WordPress sites into Rock RMS, create workflows and automations improving ministry tools, and produce dashboards with custom charts utilizing Chart JS, amCharts, SQL, and Lava. Also helped improve the company’s site by incorporating Light/Dark mode, convert content into content channels, and crafted many design elements to keep the branding of 9 Embers consistent.

I was responsible to coordinate with designers & developers, utilize the agile/scrum methodology, implement cutting edge designs, keep user experiences clean, optimize for mobile, implement BEM methodology, and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Used JIRA to keep track of projects, and Jenkins to facilitate continuous integrations and delivery.

Designed and developed a web-based project management and reporting SaaS (software as of service) platform to help small – medium sized companies manage their government contract business at the enterprise level. I was able to deliver a website that was built on Rock RMS, a church management system, and utilized the Compass Theme. The site was built with TailwindCSS, Lava, and SQL. The site also included custom content components, content channels, and custom charts using Chart JS.
